Consortium meeting in Liberec, Czech Republic
European and Chinese partners of the EiCLaR project met in Liberec, Czech Republic, from the 13^th to the 16^th May 2024, for a consortium meeting hosted by TUL and PWT. Members of the project presented their work progress and the next steps for the end of the project. The consortium meeting lasted two days and was hosted in the Institute for nanomaterials, advanced technologies and innovation at the Technical University of Liberec (TUL). After the meeting, members of the project had the possibility to participate in an excursion on a mining site, organized by our partner from Photon Water Technology (PWT). Mr. Pierre Matz, member of the Stakeholder board, participated in the meeting and excursion as well.
Consortium meeting in Nanjing, China in November 2023

From the 6^th to the 11^th November 2023, European and Chinese partners met in Nanjing, China for a consortium meeting. This was the first meeting in China for European partners and the organization by the Chinese partners was excellent. All partners discussed their work progress in the internal meeting with some of the EiCLaR Members of the Stakeholders Board and Technical Advisory Board. After the internal consortium meeting, European partners participated with their Chinese colleagues in their presentation of the project to the Chinese Science Advisory Board. Everyone visited at an EiCLaR demonstration site in Zhangjiagang, a company involved in the Chinese partners site tests and the laboratory of the EiCLaR partner institution Shanghai Jiao Tong University. This was an extremely productive and rewarding week.

In 2023, AquaConSoil took place in the beautiful city of Prague, Czech Republic and hosted by the Czech University of Life Sciences.

Oral presentations, poster presentation and a free session were done by EiCLaR partners.

A knock-on effect for the success of the EiCLaR project was achieved. European and Chinese partners met in person in Lyon, France, for the first time.
SERPOL and ECOTEREM field test
Enhanced phytoremediation aims to test the synergistic effect between (i) the action of plants to stimulate the development of a bacterial consortium capable of degrading organic pollutants, (ii) a biochar amendment (produced by pyrolysis of wood chips) to improve soil fertility and water retention, (iii) a mycorrhizae amendment to improve the symbiosis between plants and soil and stimulate the bacterial consortium, and finally (iv) electrokinetic support to provide oxygen and stimulate biological activity.
